Meet Our Founders: Where Expertise and Innovation Collide

Marine: Having successfully navigated the fundraising of an IPO and served as a VC Investment partner at a prominent crypto fund, her influence stretches far beyond borders. Marine’s expertise has taken her expertise to the EU Parliament for Web3 workshops, where she advised on DAOs, to meetings on the Web3 Advisory board of the BBC.

Chris: A serial founder and an early supporter of blockchain technology. With the successful exits under his belt, Chris’s expertise is well-founded and far-reaching. He has launched an accelerator for Web3 creators, sharing profound knowledge of DAOs, DeFi, Liquidity, Social Tokens, and DiDs. With an impressive background of 20 years in internet-based applications, Chris brings a wealth of experience to MC² Finance, having previously developed a multichain API for a Layer1 blockchain.

This dynamic duo first connected in the thriving Austrian startup scene at a pitch event, both serving as jury members. Their combined efforts and expertise have propelled them on their crypto journey since 2016, offering guidance and assuming fractional leadership roles in the crypto sphere.

The Puzzle: Decentralized Exchanges vs. Centralized Ease

In October 2022 deep into crypto winter and one of the worst bear markets we’ve seen in the industry, a pivotal moment came to them, when a top-tier Layer 1 DEX raised a critical question:

Why were Centralized Exchanges (CEXs) more popular than Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs)?

‍

This question sparked an extensive research journey, leading to a transformative solution.

‍

Our research revealed a gap in the DEX landscape: a lack of guidance for users regarding token trading decisions, unlike the more user-friendly CEXs. This realization ignited the idea of a decentralized trading strategies marketplace that would seamlessly integrate with DEXs, providing the guidance users were missing without compromising DEX neutrality. From this came the birth of MC² Finance!

The Breakthrough: Customers requesting MC² Finance

Creating a solution that bridges the gap between DEXs and CEXs was not without its challenges.

However, the overwhelming positive feedback they received for their idea provided the much-needed validation and motivation to proceed. The strong interest from early DEX partners reinforced their belief that they were onto something significant, ready to reshape the future of asset management on the blockchain.
